Hy and Eleonore "Through the Years" |
On June 14, 1954, my parents, Hy and Eleonore, got married. After 50 years of wedded bliss (at least, that's what they tell us!), my brothers Mark and Bob made a special trip to Boulder, CO over the July 4th weekend to help mark the occasion. One of the first things we did when the five of us got together was to look at old photos from Hy and Eleonore's past. You see, my mom grew up in Germany and my dad grew up in Philadelphia. Mom's fathter, Joseph, was a general in the German Army. During the Korean War, my dad was stationed in Germany, and it was there that they met and fell in love. They got married in Germany in 1954, and then Dad brought Mom back to the states to begin their lives together. I hope you enjoy these photos from the past and present!
