This is the first of what I hope will be many entries. I’ve dabbled in blogs for a while, but this is the first that I plan to maintain throughout the next few years.
Although this is called J_Lbabyblog, I would like to include more than just baby news. I mean, LOTS of people do that type of thing, right? This can be used to post entries while traveling, or when friends visit from out of town, or just ramblings of the day. It matters not. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there will be some baby news to report, like any new parent is bound to do. I can also use this journal to post pictures once in a while. I got a PAID account on LiveJournal, even though many people use it for free. The paid account allows for pictures to be posted, and I would like to experiment with this feature. I was keeping a baby journal using a word processing application, iPages, but then had to convert everything to HTML and upload to my website. A blog is easier to update, since no files actually LIVE on my computer. It’s all embedded into LiveJournal. That first journal covered the first 20 weeks of Leah’s pregnancy. Then I stopped writing to the next 10-12 weeks. Now, lo and behold, we’re less than TWO months away from having a baby in the house! Not sure why I stopped writing. It could be that I have been busy starting my new job as Instructional Technology Coach. It’s been hectic, scary, and exhilarating all at the same time!
The baby is officially due November 30th. I’m thinking it’s going to be more like December 5th. We’ll see. Got a guess on the due date? Leave a comment below. More entries to follow….
