HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
We were a little late this year with our Christmas cards, so here's an online Holiday Letter that sums up the year from Leah, Joel, and Spoony J.

The Blizzard of 2006
For Christmas this year, Mother Nature decided to dump two feet of snow on the Denver Metro area, shutting down the city for two days. There's more details about the storm on my blog, but in the meantime, enjoy these pictures of the snow, and of Jake. CLICK HERE or on the picture to see some snowy photos. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Jake Turns ONE!
I still can't believe tha our little boy is one year old! Thanks, everyone, for sharing Jake's birthday with us. Leah's Mom and Larry came from Cincinnati the week before. Then my brother Bob was in town ( I didn't get ANY pictures of him!), for a conference, as was cousin Lorna. On Saturday, the local grandparents came over to help us celebrate. Baby Joely
Thanks to Mom and Dad for being such great "archivists" I was able to scan some old photos of my first few years. CLICK HERE or on the picture to see some of my favorite snapshots from 1965-1968. It's also interesting to see the resemblance to Jake in several of these old photos.
More Fall Photos
Just finished my Fall Break, and it was a very productive week! Check my blog or more details. The leaves in our backyard provided a pefect opportunity for Jake to play an explore. We also created a homemade Halloween costume for him, as he becamse "ROBUSTO- World's Strongest Baby!" CLICK HERE or on the picture to see more.
Fall in Colorado
In Colorado, the arrival of Fall means the mountains begin to prepare for another snowy season. The elk start to bugle as they find a mate, and the aspen trees change to yellow and gold as their leaves put on a final display of color before falling. This year we took Jake to the hills to experience his first aspen viewing. We went to St. Mary's Glacier and tried out our new baby backpack. NECC COnference and visit to LA
I attended the National Education Computing Conference in San Diego over the July 4th week, and then extended my stay in California to visit my brother and his family in Los Angeles. It was a GREAT trip, and have the photos to prove it. CLICK HERE or on the image to see a slideshow from NECC and LA.
Stuff on Our Cat
Chelsea is now immortalized on the Internet! We took some pictures of
Chelsea and sent them to our new favorite website, http://stuffonmycat.com. Lo
and behold, a few days later she appeared in TWO different postings: Let's
Roll and Binky .
Between an appearance on "The Planet's Funniest Animals" a few years
ago, and now this, she's definitely the resident star of our house!
Spoony J in Da House
Jake has taken a liking to spoons. He plays with them during eating time, not using them for food, but more as a teething tool. Watching this display gave me the idea to create a rapper named "Spoony J." Here's some of the latest Spoony raps:
