Web Pages that Suck is one of my favorite sites to learn good design by looking at sucky design. It helps to know what to avoid.

Tips and Tricks offers advice and best practice for web designers. Beware of the dreaded POP-UPS on this page!

 

Hints to Create Accessible Websites is a straight-ahead, simple explanation of what to consider when designing a website for the visually impaired. Based on worldwide standards, the design hints mentioned apply to ANY good website, not just for the disabled.

The Web Developer's Virtual Library offers a wide variety of articles and definitions of all things related to website design. There are tutorials, discussion groups, and LOTS of information to be found here. Good resource!

Digital-Web Magazine has some good articles about website design.

    I read the article about Flash and liked seeing examples of their opinions on the best and worst use of Flash technology.
